International Medical Corps (IMC) is committed to respecting the privacy rights of all visitors to our website. This policy describes how IMC handles the information you provide through this website. Your use of the website constitutes your acceptance of and agreement to the terms and conditions of this policy as may be updated by IMC from time to time without notice to you.

Throughout this Agreement, you will see the terms “International Medical Corps”, “IMC”, “we”, “our” and “us”: these terms refer to International Medical Corps, a nonprofit organization with tax-exempt status as provided by the Internal Revenue Code under section 501(c)(3) and the California Revenue and Taxation Code Section 23701(d). 1. Do I have to submit any personal information in order to visit the IMC website?
IMC does not ask you to submit any personal information if you are simply browsing the website. However, you may not be able to access all parts of the website or interact with us without supplying certain personal information. For example, if you choose to receive the IMC e-Newsletter, we ask for your name and email address so we can send the newsletter to you. The IMC e-Newsletter mailing list is used only to email the newsletter, to send notices about IMC activities, and for email campaigns. We do not sell, rent or share our mailing list except as set forth in this Privacy Policy.
In the event you wish to update or delete your email address in our possession at any time for any reason please contact imc@imcworldwide.org to make those changes.

2. Does IMC use “cookies” on its website?
Yes, to make your visit to our website better, IMC uses cookies.

3. Does IMC collect personal information, such as my name, postal address or financial information through its website?
You may be asked to submit personal information. This includes, but may not be limited to, your name, postal address, zip code, telephone number and e-mail address.

In addition, in order to donate to IMC through this website, IMC may ask you to provide credit card, checking account or other billing information.
We use secure socket layer (“SSL”) encryption to protect the transmission of the information you submit to us when you use our secure online donation forms, and the information you provide to us is stored securely. Our use of this information is limited to processing payments and mailing acknowledgment letters. We will also use this information to send you information about IMC’s activities, and for mail campaigns, unless you choose not to be contacted. In the event that you want to view, update, or delete this information, please contact imc@imcworldwide.org or, in the case of donation information, imc-help@imcworldwide.org.

4. How is my personal information used by IMC?
IMC will use your personally identifiable information internally to provide you with information about IMC’s work. IMC also may use this information to provide you with access to various sections of our website that may be personalized for your needs.

5. Does IMC share personal information with third parties?
Yes, IMC shares your personally identifiable information such as your name, e-mail and/or postal address and credit card information with third party processors and service providers. For example, IMC shares such information with third parties that provide hosting services.

In addition, our web servers automatically collect and store non-personal (aggregated) information: the name of the domain and host from which you access the internet; the internet protocol (“IP”) address of the computer you are using; the browser software you use and your operating system; the date and time you access our sites; and the internet address of the site from which you linked directly to our site.

6. How do I control how IMC uses my personal information?
If you would prefer that your name, e-mail and/or postal addresses and other personally identifiable information that you may have shared with IMC not be shared with third parties or if you have previously given consent to share your name, e-mail and/or postal address or any other personally identifiable information and would prefer to opt-out, please go to our [subscription management page] and un-check the following option: “I would like to receive news and updates from IMC.” Or, in the alternative, you may call us at 310-826-7800, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, and we will accommodate your request. IMC will make every endeavor to change your status within 10 business days of your contacting us. Please note that some activities and mailings may already be in progress, and we may not be able to effectuate the changes prior to the mailing.

Credit Card Transactions. IMC hires third parties to provide credit card processing services and order fulfillment services. If you have opted to donate online, we may share your personal information, including credit card or billing information, with these service providers. We make an effort to require all third party service-providers to hold personal information in confidence.
Necessity. If the law or a regulatory authority compels us, IMC will disclose personally identifiable information. Also, if we have reason to believe that there has been some inappropriate interference with or use of the IMC website or services (see our Website Terms and Conditions), or if we have reason to believe that one of our website users may have been injured or has harmed some other party, we will disclose your personally identifiable information as we deem appropriate.

7. What rules apply if I click over to another website?

This website may be linked to other sites that are not maintained by IMC. IMC is not responsible for the content of any of those sites. The inclusion of any link to such sites does not imply endorsement by IMC of those sites or any information available through those sites. IMC makes no representations regarding any website that may be accessed by a link from this website.
